My family visited Cheyenne Mountain State Park, here in Colorado Springs. First visit for us and we had a very nice hike. I felt relaxed and just loved taking in the views even though I saw the sign that Mountain Lions and Bears had been spotted in the area. I probably will not be going there by myself any time soon, but the experience was memorable. I shared a few pictures on my personal Facebook page, but I saved this one for my 366 project. This photograph just illustrates how I felt being there. Really blessed to be surrounded by so much natural beauty and have my kids be able to live here and experience it all.

Just to be at peace even for a moment

I've committed myself to a photo challenge. I will be sharing a photo a day. I was thinking about a theme, but I don't think I would be able to stick to the same theme all year. The challenge is to pick my camera up every day to document my daily life. I feel I do this anyway, but it'll be fun to share it with more than just friends and family. I'm looking forward to Project 366 and at the end of the year I will be able to look back at the memories captured throughout the year. So here goes the first photo of the year!
